Marian Keys for Kids

I was in Gothenburg this weekend and went to visit my little niece for a while.
She's only 2, but she kept telling me that she has to learn how to read! Now!
- I guess it's because her parents always have their nose in a book =)

The Game ...

So..Argentina lost against Brazil. They didn't show the game here, even though it must have been the most interesting one going on this year. Still I'm glad I didn't see it - makes it easier to ignore the fact that we might not make it to the World Cup. Which seems really weird. Really weird...

The World Cup without Argentina is like, I don't know - a burger without meat? I'm too tired to come up with anything better at the moment. That's how bad I feel right now.

I was in Buenos Aires during the last World Cup. We celebrated the 6-0 match down at the obelisk at 9 de Julio. We waved the flag and were happy to be able to be there in just that moment, when everyone smiled in the sun. It was such a great day, because everyone was happy.

And then in the end when we "lost" ... all of Buenos Aires fell quiet. An anti-climax so thick that we almost felt the world crumble for a second. I had just gotten used to the constant sounds and movements of the city that the silence hit me over the head like a sledgehammer. I've never experienced anything like it, before or after.

My Beloved Little Savage

Yesterday we visited my wonderful little niece for a while. She really loves icecream now. Just say the word and she drops everything, anything, to get her icecream.


I was a little worried that she wouldn't recognize me with my new haircut - but she welcomed me with the longest hug! We played (or, actually, she gave me and mom orders and we obeyed) and had a great time.


She can be so girly at times, so happy with her new outfit and accessories that her grandma bought, dancing with her little skirt...



... that you sometimes forget that she really is a little savage and not always as sweet as she might look.

But I love her!

Flowers and color...

I'm at my moms place. In the middle of the woods. My cellphone doesn't even work here - It's really peaceful...

A few days ago we went to buy a tomato plant and a cucumber plant (but instead of the cucumber we ended up with a physalis plant - much better!). I usually get bored walking around looking at plants, but this time I took pictures:





Tomorrow I'm getting a new haircut! =)

Ugly Pretty (baby birds)

Yesterday we found these little baby birds that had fallen out of their nest. They were so cute and so incredibly ugly at the same time! But we managed to reunite them with their mom and dad. That must be the good deed that'll last the whole year, right? Even if we laughed the whole time for them being so ugly...



And later in the day, mom found this frog. He was quite ugly, too...

Her fake cry is sooo bad, and it always makes me laugh. She doesn´t like it and says that I'm a meanie!
